Marielle Cowdin is the Director of Public Relations at the Colorado River District, a special district encompassing 15 counties west of the Continental Divide and working to ensure water security for Colorado’s Western Slope. Marielle worked in Oregon for nearly 10 years around forest watershed issues and establishing, growing, and managing the business coalition known as the Oregon Brewshed Alliance. She returned to Colorado to join the River District in May 2021. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Law & Policy from Lewis and Clark Law School and is passionate about the future of water in the West.
