Briefly: Lake Mead falling even faster than projections

CNN reports that Lake Mead is falling faster than projections indicated late last year and will be just 12% full by September of 2023. The news means that water cuts triggered by the lake’s dire state will intensify. This past year a first-ever series of water cuts triggered by low flows in the Colorado River were absorbed by farmers, but this is likely to change quickly.
