2024 Annual River Basin Tour - Upper Arkansas Basin

Our 2024 Annual River Basin Tour will be held June 4-5, 2024, and will feature the Upper Arkansas River Basin. Early-Bird registration pricing available through May 1. WEco members receive an additional discount. 

What you’ll experience on the tour

• Two full days of learning and exploration!
• Riding on a comfortable, climate-controlled coach bus with fellow tour participants through a beautiful part of Colorado!
• Exposure to local water characteristics, uses and values, plus the priorities and projects of the Arkansas Basin Roundtable.
• Visiting numerous water-related natural features and municipal, agricultural, industrial, environmental and recreational project sites in the Upper Arkansas River Basin, between Leadville and Pueblo Reservoir.
• Hearing from speakers with broad perspectives discussing water issues and how water ties into other sectors.
• Experiencing on-the-ground examples of novel techniques driving water innovation and sustainability.

Event Details

The tour will start and end in Salida. Partcipants will be responsible for booking their own hotel room for one or more nights. WEco will provide details for a discounted room block for the hotel where we will start and end each day. Drop off to alternate locations will not be available.
