Briefly: California must prep for fourth year of drought, federal officials warn

Reuters reports that the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation on Monday warned northern California cities and industrial water users that they should prep for another dry year. Water levels in reservoirs that serve San Francisco, Sacramento, and the Central Valley are nearing historic lows and if drought continues into 2023, it may be impossible for Reclamation to meet all the needs of the Central Valley Project without taking severe water conservation actions, federal officials caution.
