In Brief: Cities close creeks, swim beaches as public fumes, sweats

Cities like Golden, Lakewood, and Westminster recently made the decision to delay access to creeks and swim beaches. Clear Creek through Golden is now shut down due to overcrowding and coronavirus health concerns, as well as several metro-area reservoirs including Bear Creek Reservoir, Cherry Creek Reservoir, Big Soda Lake, and Standley Lake. For now, many lakes, reservoirs, and creeks remain closed while waiting to see a decrease in coronavirus.
