In Brief: Good news on moon’s water supplies

NASA researchers have new evidence that water may be more broadly distributed across the moon’s surface than previously known, according to reporting this week from the New York Times.

Scientists used an infrared telescope to observe conditions, and they now believe water likely exists in small, shallow depressions and that eventually these supplies may prove useful to astronauts.
