Suzy Hiskey Bio

Suzy Hiskey supports logistics and behind-the-scenes preparation for WEco tours, leadership programs, and the annual Sustaining Colorado Watersheds conference. Suzy plays a key role in taking care of program participants and ensuring programs go off without a hitch! Before joining WEco, Suzy was a conservation coordinator focusing on increasing bird-safe stewardship practices in the Denver Metro area. Suzy worked as an elementary school educator and developed summer camp programs nature and wildlife before transitioning to environmental conservation. Suzy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and a Bachelor’s in English and a Master’s in Library and Information Science from University of Missouri, Columbia. Suzy grew up in Missouri building trails and forts on her family’s rural property. Suzy’s personal interests include hiking, competing in dog agility, and volunteering for community science projects with Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, and the Butterfly Pavilion.
