In Brief: Gross Reservoir expansion wins final federal approval, but legal battles continue

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved Denver Water’s proposed expansion of Gross Reservoir in Boulder County, the last federal approval required for the project. But Boulder County said it will continue its legal battle to force Denver Water to allow the county to conduct its own review under local government 1041 power, which could affect the scope of the project. The design phase for expansion is expected to finish by the middle of next year.
