Briefly: Fire debris clogs Hot Sulphur Springs’ water system

According to Sky-Hi News, Hot Sulphur Springs has resumed intake from the Colorado River as of August 3, 2021. The Hot Sulphur Springs Public Works Department had to shut off intake from the river Saturday evening because of turbidity. The recent increase in rain in the East Troublesome Fire burn scar has resulted in increased debris flow and flooding, making the river appear dark and ashy.
