Briefly: Gold King Mine spill settlement reached in New Mexico

The Associated Press reports that  New Mexico has reached a $32 million settlement to help pay for damage caused by a 2015 spill that  released 3 million gallons of wastewater containing lead, arsenic and other heavy metals from the Gold King Mine in southwestern Colorado. The spill contaminated rivers in Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.
