Briefly: Mountain West among regions U.S. Interior Department will help to restore native fish habitat

KUNR Public Radio reports that the U.S. Interior Department is supporting a major new initiative to remove or modify dams and other barriers breaking up waterways and blocking native fish. In southwestern Colorado, some $700,000 will be spent to replace a culvert in the La Plata River watershed that is blocking roundtail chub and others.
