Briefly: States ban fracking in Delaware River watershed

According to the YaleEnviornment 360, natural gas drilling and fracking has been permanently banned within a four-state watershed after evidence was provided from the Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) that fracking polluted the drinking water, surface water, and groundwater. The four-state watershed is a source of drinking water for more than 13 million people in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York. The decision was the result of a 10-year debate in the region.
