The Los Angeles Times reports that the U.S. Supreme Court, in a hearing this week, was leaning toward allowing a major case on tribal water rights to continue. The case examines whether the federal government should be required to provide water to the Navajo Nation in Arizona under the terms of an 1868 treaty.
