Briefly: Ute Water will tap into Colorado River to supplement drought-stressed supplies

NBCnews11 is reporting that Ute Water will use water rights it owns in the Colorado River, starting next month, to help bump its regular supplies, sourced from the Grand Mesa, that have been devastated by this summer’s dry weather. The change will mean that customers will have to temporarily pay more for their water.
