In Brief: Las Vegas approves $3B water plan

According to a new report in the Las Vegas Review Journal, the Southern Nevada Water Authority has approved a $3 billion water plan that will add about $10 a month to the average homeowner’s water bill by 2027. In addition to maintenance and upgrades to the existing system, the package includes wastewater treatment to return more water to Lake Mead as well as new pipelines to carry water to parts of the region previously underserved, including an industrial park in the city of North Las Vegas.
