Briefly: Tiny Utah Navajo community wins funds for water, electricity

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the southeastern Utah community of Westwater, a Navajo Nation-owned community, may finally be receiving access to water and electricity. The Utah Legislature appropriated $500,000 for the project. An additional $200,000 was approved by the Utah Navajo Trust Fund’s Diné Advisory Committee and its board.
