Cooling the Yampa River

Join This American Land and Fresh Water News as we travel to the Yampa River Basin, where residents are planting trees to cool the river and combat the effects of climate change. On one of the last free-flowing rivers in the West, this restored riparian forest will provide shade, keeping water temperatures low enough to sustain the fish and critters who depend on it, not to mention the community of businesses, ranchers, fishermen, tourists, and others who also rely on a healthy Yampa River.
