Briefly: Holy Cross confab points to reservoir proposal’s complexity

According to Aspen Journalism, the Eagle River Watershed Council recently hosted a community hike in the Homestake Valley that included community members, municipalities, the Wilderness Workshop, and Aurora Water. The purpose of the event was to provide perspective on a proposed project that would involve building a reservoir on lower Homestake Creek and transport water under the Continental Divide to Turquoise Reservoir, and then to Aurora and Colorado Springs. Currently, an application for the storage project has not been filed. However, there has already been a fair amount of opposition.
