Briefly: Nebraska officials say federal aid makes South Platte canal proposal feasible

The Associated Press reports that Nebraska, flush with an unexpected $775 million in federal infrastructure funding, says it has more than enough money to build a canal along the South Platte River in northeastern Colorado to ensure that Nebraska farmers and cities get their fair share as Colorado continues to grow and develop water projects in the same region.
