In Brief: Contentious hearings in Chaffee County bottled water case

This week the Colorado Sun reported on hours of resident testimony received last week by Chaffee County commissioners on a request by the Nestlé Corporation to renew a 10-year permit to extract spring water for its Arrowhead brand. The corporation has pledged to minimize the impact of its plastic-bottle use and water officials testified that the company has met its obligations to replace water that it extracts. A decision is expected in the coming weeks from Chaffee County commissioners.
