“Living River of the Arts” Coming to Denver’s Santa Fe Drive

Artist Rik Sargent poses with his 'One World One Water' sculpture at Metro State.

Come May and June 2012, Santa Fe Drive in Denver will become a “Living River of the Arts”, celebrating Colorado Year of Water 2012.  Starting at the headwaters, on the Auraria Campus, May 2, 2012, Rik Sargent’s One World One Water sculpture will be dedicated at the new Auraria Student’s Success Center Building next to the Tivoli.  From there the art stream flows down to the confluence of Niza Knoll Gallery and the 910 Arts and Event Center for the H2O12 Art Show celebrating water.  Niza Knoll’s Gallery will host an invite show, the H2O12 Art Show, and the 910 Gallery will host a call to artists statewide show of fine art.  Students and professionals invited to show at the two art shows will run from May 2, 2012 through June 30, 2012.  Everyone is invited.  There will be other arts events along the Santa Fe Dr. Art River at this time.  Stay tuned for updates.
