Briefly: Historic deal reached to slash Colorado River water use in Arizona, California, Nevada

The New York Times reports that the federal government and Arizona, California and Nevada have reached an agreement that will reduce water use on the river by 3 million acre-feet through 2026, but devilish details must still be worked out. The deal was boosted by $1.2 billion in payments from the federal government.
