Briefly: Should Colorado ban PFAS-tainted ski wax to protect water supplies?

The Denver Post reports that some ski waxes contain PFAS, the toxic, long-lasting compounds that are found in everything from Teflon to comestics. Colorado has banned the sale of many products that contain the chemicals, but it hasn’t banned the ski waxes.

The discovery has prompted one Utah ski town to ban the tainted waxes after it found PFAS-contaminated water in an aquifer beneath a cross country ski area.
