Briefly: California’s bottled water battle may be resolved this year

According to the Los Angeles Times, after nearly seven years of fighting against the extraction of water in the San Bernardino National Forest, activists are hopeful that California regulators will finally order BlueTriton Brands, formerly Nestlé, to drastically reduce its operation in the national forest. Last year, California water regulators issued a draft order instructing Nestlé to “cease and desist” to dramatically reduce the amount of water it was taking. A  decision in the case could come later this year.
