Looking for a Good Read? Check out a “Water” Book Club

Whether you are a book lover, a water enthusiast, a student, a teacher, an adventurer, or just someone looking to learn more about Colorado’s water—we invite you to join the Water 2012 Book Club.

“A book club!” you think. “Sounds like we’ll be sharing a couple of bottles of wine, fine desserts and lively conversation– Probably reading New York Times Bestsellers. I’ll bring a pound cake.”

Well, we hate to break it to you, but as a state-wide club, we’re not able to meet in someone’s living room every week, although you can organize your own book club that mirrors ours. Through the Water 2012 Book Club, Colorado authors Peter McBride, Jon Waterman, Craig Childs, Will Hobbs, Greg Hobbs, George Sibley and Patty Limerick along with their magnificent publications will be featured throughout the year as they discuss their books during public events. Here, on the Your Water Colorado Blog, experts will blog about each book, and they want you to join the conversation. Ask them questions, tell them stories, and share your impressions about our featured books, they are all worth a read.

It’s time to get started! New books are soon to be released and for our first event, author and photographer Peter McBride will give a talk on The Colorado River Flowing  Through Conflict this evening at CBA-CLE. Please RSVP and join us.
